As the idea of Trump being Inaugurated closed in on me, I had to write what alot of people are feeling. The song is a somber and fortuetous dialogue on the idea and the fear associated with it. It also features Edinburgh legendary violinist Eddy Hanson and Martin Beer on double bass.
lyrics
You'll get and Angles Share of the profits and have a raging bull of a time,
There's a chance you may rest easy, a brainwashing of the mind
Like a scarecrow in the forest, with no where left to hide
Wave your arms in a stromy sea, watch from a distance, a lighthouse crime.
There's a clown without his costume, except his wig and firing line
Best to stay away from those beedy eyes and far out of his sights
He's a man without a mission, except to get to outer space
and be accepted by a ghost and run the human race....
You can run, You can run, You can run but never leave, like the sun, like the sun!
It turns out, it turns out, you are the Angles Share of the profit
So, brush up on all the old prayer books and worship your new puppet
Because this is no clever joke, we are going up in smoke
And our spark will burn to ash, extinguished....
You can run, You can run, You can run but never leave, like the sun, like the sun!
And, ooooooohhhhh, wouldn't it be nice, if this were a dream......
You can run, You can run, You can run but never leave, like the sun, like the sun!
Like the sun, like the sun, you can burn but, never freeze!
You can run, You can run, You can run but never leave, like the sun, like the sun!
